Awards, Accomplishments and Community Involvement

We are very proud of the work we do here at Trillium serving people with serious mental illness. Trillium is a cutting-edge Peer Support Center.Our accomplishments are many, but there is much more work to do. One in four people live with mental illness. Our goal is to help as many people in Virginia as we can. We are leading by example to help people living with mental illness in Virginia understand:

  • Stability is possible for everyone
  • Responsibility belongs to the individual
  • Many people are walking similar paths
  • Recovery is possible for everyone

  • Awarded the Agnes L. Colgan Community Service Award from the Prince William Chamber of Commerce
  • Awarded the Voice of Recovery Award from the Mental Health Awareness Event Committee

  • Spoke at the United Nations DPI/NGO Conference

  • Executive Director was part of a team of 11 from throughout Virginia to be the Commonwealth's first PRS trainers and assisted in creating the PRS training book
  • Executive Director was awarded the Voice of Recovery Award in 2012
  • Trillium Celebrated our 10th anniversary on September 23, 2017
  • Commendation from Prince William Board of Supervisors
  • Recognized by a Virginia Senate Joint Resolution
  • Member of Prince William County's Divert and Crisis Intervention Teams
  • Trillium speakers present at Prince William County's Crisis Intervention Team trainings
  • Involved in the Mental Health Awareness Event since 2008
  • Created videos shown on Comcast Community Channel regarding mental health recovery
  • Public speaking in the community and beyond
